NOTE: My friend Jade invited me to join her for the taping of The Untold Stories of Face to Face. We went to Marikina and I met some artists too. We even recorded a video with Gardo Verzosa called ‘Haggardo Verzosa’ LOL.

Week 30: T’Boli Courtship Dance

Here’s a sample of the T’Boli Courtship Dance as performed at the Punta Isla Lake Resort in South Cotabato.

NOTE: It’s my first time to watch a number of T’Boli ethnic dances and the courtship dance is my favorite. I wonder if I can make a screenplay having a T’Boli dancer as one of my characters. I’m sure that will catch the attention of the moviegoers

Take a glimpse of Clara Ramona, the Queen of Flamenco perform with the type of dance she’s best known at around the world.

NOTE: This video was taken sometime in March 2010 at the opening of Clara Ramona’s new Flamenco Dance Studio. I am quite excited for the indie film In Nomine Matris, the first film to tackle about Flamenco dancing in the Philippines. It will be shown by late 2010.

Week 15: Fire Dance at Maribago Beach Resort

Last March, I was invited together with other travel bloggers to Cebu to stay in Maribago Beach Resort for two nights and an overnight stay in Sumilon Island. I had a blast on the first night primarily because of the good food (Hawaiian) and the in-house performers presented a number of great performances and one of which is the Fire Dance. I was able to record one and it’s embedded in this post now

NOTE: I have this frustration of trying this dance. Who knows, I might upload a video of myself trying this real hot dance by the beach
