NOTE: I’ve been wanting to shoot this concept even way, way back. This is actually a part of one of the screenplays I wrote way back in college. Bryan Karl and I shot this at Be Resorts in Mactan, Cebu without permission (but they know it now LOL). For the meantime, I used the song ‘Life and Death’ taken from the Lost OST.

Week 19: DO NOT DISTURB (Baby Boy Version)

Ever wondered why a girl who is sleeping alone her hotel room placed the ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign at the door knob? Most probably she’s dancing even at 4:43AM.

NOTE: On my way back to my hotel room in Microtel Baguio, the taxi I rode in was playing the song ‘Baby Boy’ by Beyonce. I remember dancing that song six years ago for the Orientation Program in college. I can clearly remember some of the steps that’s why I decided to record myself while dancing it. Days after, I heard the news that our high school dance choreographer Kuya Monarc died in Bahrain due to Leukemia Though he is not the person responsible for the choreography of this sequence, I still consider him as one of my best mentors when it comes to dancing. Our group in high school won in a lot of competitions because of him. Now, I am determined to dance again. Hopefully, I’ll be able to reunite with my high school co-dancers and record a dance video together as a tribute to him.

NOTE: This video was shot in our room in Viajeros Inn during our last night at the Davao Food Appreciation Tour 2010. We were waiting for Kuya Drew’s call for dinner. NOTE: This video was taken one Sunday night at Kopi Roti Tomas Morato. She was a bit sad that evening that’s why I invited her to go to Penpen’s Restaurant with me for dinner (and at the same time check the venue for my Film Showing). We bonded for at least an hour in Kopi Roti and bought this very cheap balloon, which looked like a stress ball. Maire bought one and started killing numbers LOLZ

Week 15: Fire Dance at Maribago Beach Resort

Last March, I was invited together with other travel bloggers to Cebu to stay in Maribago Beach Resort for two nights and an overnight stay in Sumilon Island. I had a blast on the first night primarily because of the good food (Hawaiian) and the in-house performers presented a number of great performances and one of which is the Fire Dance. I was able to record one and it’s embedded in this post now
