Week 41: Rizal Park 2010

NOTE: Since we all came from Ocean Park, the three of us decided to explore Rizal Park. We realized a lot of things while we were going around with our digital cameras. It inspired me to start a new script

NOTE: I’ve been wanting to shoot this concept even way, way back. This is actually a part of one of the screenplays I wrote way back in college. Bryan Karl and I shot this at Be Resorts in Mactan, Cebu without permission (but they know it now LOL). For the meantime, I used the song ‘Life and Death’ taken from the Lost OST.

Week 9: The Ultimate Aegis Fan Challenge

Three ladies have one thing in common – they love the band Aegis.

After watching the OPM abnd Aegis perform live in Balayon Festival in Puerto Princesa, Ada, Mica and Jenny concluded that they are full-pledged Aegis fanatics. Yes, their songs might sound cheesy to some, but heck, the band is really talented! We’d rather watch Aegis than Paramore LOL

NOTE: This was shot during our last night in Dangkalan Beach Resort in Puerto Princesa. The management asked us to stop singing at 10pm for the sake of other guests T_T. For our finale, we sang the song “Luha” by Aegis. There’s a little surprise in the end though because an unexpected guest arrived. FYI, i am not fond of dogs. Blame it on the way i was raised by my family LOL

Week 7: On Glasses and Powders (with subtitles)

He is a happy-go-lucky guy. She is a serious lady. A confrontation leads to an unlikely break-up. How will the glasses and powder contribute to their break-up?

NOTE: Got the idea when I saw Maki’s glasses. I suddenly thought of an idea of giving a friend his own glasses in order to see what is wrong in his current relationship LOL. I wore the glasses and decided to shoot something while i’m wearing them. Judd then added the ‘powder’ factor. We also introduced the character of Celine, which is an important character in one of my short films set to be shown this year This short film is my Valentine backlog (at break-up pa ang topic haha )

I also used the song ‘You Still Have My Heart’ from Princess Velasco’s ‘Addicted to Acoustic 2′ album. Please get a copy! (will write a blog entry about the album on my main blog soon : )

Week 6: Week 6: W.A.W! (Wrong Answer Wins!)

NOTE: This is a different kind of game. Usually, the one who gives the right answer wins, and the wrong one loses. Jehzeel proposed a WAW game earlier just to spice things up In this video, Mica and Maki (M & M) won against Judd and Jehzeel (J&J). Girls vs. Boys, huh?

WEEK 4: Meeting Bryan

Mica went to Waterfront Hotel Cebu to meet up with Bryan, her textmate. Will she meet the right Bryan, or will she end up meeting another person? This is a short story about coincidence and missed chances.

NOTE: We shot this short film in Waterfront Hotel Cebu when we decided to simply check out the place. I saw this bench and i looked at my companions Bryan and Brian, who had the same name but with different spelling. Amazing, huh? On the spot, I thought of the possibilities of two strangers with the same name and with different purpose of sitting in a bench… Paano kung ang paksa ng isa ay hindi sinasadyang mapunta sa isa? WEEK 3: Carry My Love

A single woman’s perspective on girls asking their boyfriends to carry their handbag… and how her friend blocked her thoughts!

NOTE: We wanted to shoot a short film that has something to do with eating since we’re in Ortigas for the Banchetto night. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to think of anything ‘yummy’ to shoot. While we were eating, we saw a couple where the guy is holding the girl’s tiny girly-girl bag. We decided to shoot something about it and since I am wearing the ‘Single pa din ako’ shirt, I decided to make fun of the situation and viola, we can haz short film!
